Everything about ChatGPT:

As Digital Marketing Professional I felt a need to share everything about ChatGPT and how AI is evolving since it’s launch, also how it has effected my profession and many other’s as well.

What is ChatGPT?

It is a large language model developed by openAI, it is trained in a way that if you ask anything it will respond you back like a human in real time. Like we do on whatsapp or anyother chatting app.

Here is the list of things we can expect from it;

• Answering questions we ask
• Generate text as in blog or article or any other piece of information
• helping you as an expert by responding to prompts you give it to him
• Translating languages
• with the latest GPT4 it can read from written text, search from images or respond to your audios
• And more

It is AI based model and continuously improving, previously it had data till 2021 but with time it will learn new data available online and respond you accordingly.

What is the full form of GPT?

Full form GPT is “Generative Pre-trained Transformer”

There are 4 models of ChatGPT or you can say versions;

• GPT1
• GPT2
• GPT3
• GPT4

* GPT1:

This was launched back in 2018 by openAI with 117 million parameters. Major tasks included;

• Language modeling
• Translation from 1 language to other
• Summarization – summarizing big content in to small

It was trained on large corpus of internet text including;

• Web Pages (available on the internet)
• Articles (Millions of written articles online)
• Books (eBooks available on internet)

What were the issues in GPT1 or limitations?

• It repeated the text
• Lacked in consistency
• Difficulty with long term context or reasoning

* GPT2

This was improved version of GPTone, it had 1.5 billion parameters, 10 times more than in 1st version. They called WebText to the data it was trained on, consisting 40GB of text.

One limitation they encountered was misuse of this model to create fake news, manipulate online conversations etc. So that was the reason it was not public on massive scale but they came up with smaller version just to help in research purpose.

* GPT3:

Yes, here is when you got to know about it because of it’s hype and it got millions of visitors in 1st week of launch. This was a turning moment for giants like Google and Microsoft to jump in to AI and engage.

With 175 billion parameters, this was the most powerful AI with impressive performance of;

• Translation
• Summarization
• Question Answering
• And more.

* GPT4:

At this point I was so into it that I watched it whole launch event online on youtube, it happend very recently on March 15, 2023.

This day is very special to me for so many reasons and again AI made it more special, Sorry I dragged this into this AI discussion. Here is my short video I made that day;

• Very responsive in seconds
• Can develop a website even if you write on piece of paper and give instructions
• It can read hand written or content from images
• The code is very advanced, you can develop your products if you have very small knowledge
