You must have seen this ad recently about onic on your social media and for once you must have thought what is it, well in this blog I will tell you everything I know about ONIC.

As per their website, it is going to be the 1st digital telco in Pakistan.

As per their Facebook bio;

Discover digital independence with Onic: epic data, unlimited minutes, and endless opportunities!

Here are few questions still uncleared;

We have not seen any official announcement about this on PTA platforms, are they in process or what?
How will they be different from rest of the networks already available?
What will be the codes of numbers?
How will they deliver sim to homes if they are not verified?
What will be the initial cost?
How will they run their network, will they use any existing network or partner with them or what?

Some people are syaing onic is MVNO. Now let me share what is MVNO?

A Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) is a company which does not have its own mobile network infrastructure. So it partners with another licensed mobile operator and offers mobile services under its own brand name. Like you can say white label type services.

In other simple terms, an MVNO is like a middleman that uses an existing mobile network to provide services to customers.

Now let me share light on their marketing;

They started running ads from July 5th and hype well created and everyone started talking about it already
Only using image marketing means they do not know the power of short videos, that may have created more impact or hype than now.
